Meet Paula Dolliver, K through 5, Pastoral Ministry
Currently serving as Director Religious Education (DRE) for Grades Kindergarten through 5, I have held previous DRE positions at St Jeremiah, Framingham and St Catherine of Siena, Norwood. I have served 37 years in Religious Education altogether, having served as volunteer Confirmation Coordinator, Youth Group Coordinator, Catechist, and Assistant to DRE at St Stephen and as Catechist at St Bridget – all in Framingham. Previous to the paid positions within the Church I was employed at Dennison Mfg Co in Framingham, Holliston, Waltham, and Milford, working my way from file clerk to Computer Security Officer and Personal Computer Trainer. Other odd jobs along the way include Administrative Assistant at a Halfway House for women in recovery, rectory housekeeper, waitress, sales clerk, and summer day camp counselor. My early education was at St Stephen, St Bridget, and Marian High School. I received a BA from Regis College in Weston, and at the age of 40 completed a Masters Degree in Religious Ed and Pastoral Ministry at Emmanuel College in Boston.
Yes, I’m a Framingham “townie”! I’m also aunt to 12 and grandaunt to 12+. I have one brother and two sisters and after having moved a number of times within Framingham I now live back in the house where I grew up. I love music and dance, sunshine and the beach, reading and writing. I love the work I do, the people with whom I do it, and the Person for whom I spend my time and energy. My favorite and constant prayer is the Serenity Prayer. I share it with you: “Dear God, please grant me the serenity to accept what I cannot change, the courage to change what I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Amen."
