WORSHIP AND SACRAMENTAL
LIFE
Nothing is more important or central to the life of
the parish than the celebration of Sunday Eucharist.
It is the source and summit of everything that takes
place in our parish. We invite everyone to join us in
our weekly praise and worship of Almighty God. Click

EUCHARISTIC
MINISTERS:
These men and women assist the priests
in the distribution of Holy Eucharist at Mass. They
also bring the Eucharist to the shut-ins of the parish.

LECTORS:
These men and women read two short passages from Scripture,
separated by the Responsorial Psalm, which may be sung
by the cantor or choir. When assigned the time is about
sixty to eighty minutes a week, including about twenty
minutes of private reading and the Mass. Youth lectors
Grade 6-12 also welcome.

CANTOR:
The cantor's responsibilities include leading the parish
in song during Masses and services, and in general encouraging
the congregation to participate in the Mass through
singing the hymns, psalms, and Mass parts. Each cantor
will be scheduled for one or more Masses or services
per season.

CHOIR MEMBER:
These men and women give generously of their time and
talent to enhance the beauty of the Liturgy each weekend
from September to June and at other special services
throughout the year. The choir members' responsibilities
include singing at the 10:30am Mass on Sunday and special
Masses and services. There is a one-hour rehearsal at
7:30pm each Wednesday evening and a brief rehearsal
before Mass.

TEEN CHOIR:
Youth in grades 6-12 volunteer their time and talent
each weekend throughout the year from October to June.
The teen Choir responsibilities include singing or playing
a musical instrument along with the guitar and keyboard,
or organ at the 4:00pm Saturday Mass. The music sung
is a variety of contemporary and traditional Christian
songs as well as the hymns, psalms and Mass parts for
each weekend. There is a one-hour rehearsal most Wednesdays
at 6:30pm and a brief rehearsal before Mass.

CHILDREN'S CHOIR:
This new group invites children grades 2-5, to share
their time and talent at a weekly rehearsal (date and
time to be determined), and to sing at special Masses
and services throughout the year.

GREETER/USHER:
Open Church for Mass and welcome parishioners at door.
Help anyone who has a question or needs directions.
Pass out weekly bulletin and collect offering. Arrive
one half hour before Mass begins and stay 15 minutes
after Mass - including Holydays.

ALTAR SERVERS:
Boys and girls of the parish from grade 3 and up who
dedicate themselves to serving at the altar during the
Masses and other Liturgical services throughout the
year.

SENIOR
ALTAR SERVERS:
A dedicated group of "senior" parishioners
who serve at the altar during the Morning Masses and
funerals of the parish.

LITURGY
OF THE WORD FOR CHILDREN:
Prepare for Mass by reading scripture and preparing
interpretation and activities using a guidebook. Conduct
children's liturgy of the word 1-2 Sundays per month
in the lower church.

TABERNACLE
GUILD:
This group maintains the beauty of our sanctuary, sacred
vessels and liturgical vestments. They also maintain
and arrange flowers that adorn our sanctuary.

MORNING
MASS GROUP:
Parishioners who regularly attend the Morning Mass and
gather as a group after the Mass on the first Monday
of each month. Some months speakers are invited to attend
these meetings. They also assist in providing refreshments
for various special occasions during the year.
